The Fond du Lac Evening Lions and the Fond du Lac Lioness Clubs in cooperation with The Shack, the Bar Flies and the S-Capades, sponsored a benefit fund raiser for Jeanna Giese, Friday evening, December 3rd at The Shack on East Johnson St.  The event raised over $6,700 which will be given to the Giese family to help pay for expenses incurred while treating their daughter at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.

The benefit was the brain child of Charlie French, of the band, Bar Flies.

"I came up with the idea to hold a fund raiser to help this family, so I contacted the Schneiders of the S-Capades and my friends at The Shack and things just took off," commented French.

Wayne Bargenquast, president of the Fond du Lac Evening Lions, who works for the Schneiders at Silica Appliance, was asked by the S-Capades to provide the personnel for the event.  The Lions collected at the door while the Fond du Lac Lioness ran the raffle.

Mike and Pam Ford jumped in and ran a silent auction.  Mike contacted the Green Bay Packers organization and was able to acquire several autographed items, including an autographed jersey of Ryan Longwell's, which brought in the highest bid.

Owners of The Shack, John Snider, Marv Oelke and Nikki Koepke, were thrilled to offer their bar for the evening.  A special bar was set up in the volleyball court and all profits went directly to the benefit total.
